Professional - Charles attended Hampshire College of Amherst, Massachusetts, and Columbia University in NYC, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984 from Hampshire College.  He earned his J.D. from the Washington College of Law at American University in 1990.  During his tenure at the Washington College of Law, he worked as a clerk and legal assistant with several large law firms in Washington, D.C., including Hogan Hartson, Baker Botts and Andrews and Kurth.  Charles moved back to Connecticut in 1991 and has been actively practicing law ever since.  He is currently a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Connecticut Bar Association.  He regularly appears in all Connecticut state and federal courts and his knowledge of the law is bolstered by his additional interest and practice in the areas of real estate, workers' compensation, and estate planning and administration.  Charles has a quick intelligence, affable personality and easy going demeanor.  He is a good listener, is easy to work with and enjoys a challenge.
