HONORABLE MARK H. TAYLOR
The Honorable Mark Taylor graduated from Drew University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and from the University of Connecticut School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree.
Judge Taylor is presently Presiding Judge, Waterbury JD. Previously, he was Presiding Judge for Civil Matters; Hartford JD: Presiding Judge for Family Matters; Middlesex JD: AAJ and PJ for Civil and Family Matters; GA 17 in Bristol; GA 2 in Bridgeport.
He serves on the Civil Commission, the Bench-Bar Foreclosure Committee and as an Alternate on the Interception of Wire Communications Panel. He previously served as an Instructor at the Connecticut Judicial Institute in 2006, 2008 and 2010, the Fall Civil Division seminars in 2008 and 2012, as well as the Fall Family Division Seminar in 2011.
Prior to being appointed to the bench, he served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Legal Counsel with Connecticut Senate Democrats, and he was Assistant Attorney General, State of Connecticut. Prior to this, he was in the private practice of law where his practice included litigation and real estate.
