Connecticut Burns Care Foundation

CT Burns Care Foundation

Since 1978, The Connecticut Burns Care Foundation has worked to prevent burn injuries, improve burn wound care and support survivors of burn traumas. The life-long healing journey after a burn trauma is often lonely, as well as emotionally and physically painful. Simple childhood activities – like pool parties with friends, sleepovers, or summer camp – are not available for a child with severe scars.

The Foundation's programs include The Arthur C. Luf Children's Burn Camp, where young burn survivors come together at a residential summer camp for fun, peer support and to just be a kid. For 30 years, this unique Camp has given brave survivors the opportunity to confront their limitations, to make true friends, and to build confidence to tackle challenges that their injuries present.

These photos capture much of CBCF's mission: the determination of facing challenges, the support within grasp when needed, and the collective joy when a survivor reaches their life goals.

Necklace Raffle

Traditionally, the Women's Caucus spearheads a large-scale social fundraising event for a Connecticut based charity. Just as COVID-19 has severely impacted all of our lives, the pandemic unsurprisingly sidelined the event we had planned for the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation in April 2020. To show our support, the Women's Caucus is excited to run a (contactless) raffle fundraiser for CBCF.

At this year's Stephen G. Friedler Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, June 28, we are raffling off a 14kt white gold necklace, with 5.24 carats of diamonds. This 18" necklace includes one princess cut diamond (.9 ct), two radiant cut diamonds (.33-.35ct), four round brilliant cut diamonds (.30-.33ct), and 60 round brilliant cut diamonds.

Appraised value is $15,000. (2020, Valentine's Diamond Center, Milford)

Tickets are $25.00 each. There will be one winner and you do not have to be present to win.

Help us support this amazing and unique organization, while you enter to win an extraordinary diamond necklace!

The raffle sale is closed. Good luck!

If you would like to make a donation instead of – or in addition to – purchasing a raffle ticket, you may do that as well. Connecticut Trial Lawyers Foundation (CTLF) will be pleased to facilitate your donation.

CTLF is a 501(c)(3) and 100% of your tax-deductible contribution goes directly to Connecticut Burns Care Foundation.
